I know most hammer warriors are W/e so they can use the ele skills that keep the enemy on the ground with the hammer skills that keep them on the ground, but I am not a hammer warrior and dont really like them but thats what I was told by a friend.

N/W have an excellent problem that's easy to exploit by enemies.
Crappy Armor Level.
Hammers just compound the problem making it worse. Shield helps a ton I'm sure.
What's more, Meleemancers have no 'when knocked down' conditions that help them so there's no point.
There's 2 classes with [if enemy is knocked down] conditions: Ele and Monk.
I like the monk's far better since it ignores armor level and toward an enemy's death, ignoring armor is the bomz0rs... It's also more efficient energywise...

Lemme explain better....
step 1 i poisen someone.... or some kind of damage over time....
step 2 could be he cure the dot
but if i knock him down be4 he can do that.... the dot would last longer.....and that would result in more damage......

Necros can't wear stoneskin gauntlets. And knockdown only prevents DoT removal for a few seconds at best, which is... not very impressive.
Plus the shield thing.

on non warrior primaries, backbreaker is the prefered kd elite, since its long without the stoneskin thingies. but it also takes about 10 years to charge up. your choice
